I am a 28 year old palestinian dancer currently living in Ramallah. My artistic practicehas been developing through unconventional educational methods by attending different workshops and classes in my hometown and around the world, as well as, in co-training alongside different dancers from different backgrounds around the Arab world. My main focus in dance has been dabkeh and contemporary.

Coming also from asociology background, I’m interested in the relationship between dance and society and how differently our bodies react to dance and movement through our surroundings. I have been dancing since a young age in Sareyyet Ramallah where I learned to dance dabkeh and contemporary dance. I joined their company in 2011 where I performed in many of their performances in both Dabkeh and Contemporary such as: “Irzal, Ashra” Behind these walls I know There Is a sea”.

Last year I also joined Stereo 48 Dance Company from Nablus- Palestine. I joined them in a residency in France to work on their new creation “Journey to Jerusalem” which we continued to work on here in Palestine. I also worked with them on a dance series called “False Awakening”.
