Who We Are
Stereo48 Dance Company is a Palestinian dance group founded by four breakdancers from the city of Nablus in Palestine. Dedicated to fostering a free and safe artistic environment, the company sees collaboration as key to sustainability, building a network of alliances to share resources and navigate restrictive cultural policies. By merging breakdance with traditional Dabke, Stereo48 introduces dance as a powerful medium for social and personal expression in Palestinian society. As the company continues to grow, it has expanded beyond local performances to international stages, establishing itself as a rising force in contemporary dance.
A lively Arab dance community characterized by originality, creativity, and individual freedom, engaging with the global scene while reflecting the realities of its individuals both locally and abroad. We aim to create a dynamic environment for dancers that fosters creativity, freedom of expression, and artistic experimentation, even within the constraints of a challenging political landscape that imposes severe restrictions, particularly on freedom of movement.
