Badke Remix Residency First Stage Completed

LaGeste & Stereo48 have successfully completed the first stage of the Badke Remix Residency, bringing together 12 Palestinian dancers from March 1st to 22nd at LaGeste Studio in Ghent, Belgium. Throughout these three weeks, the dancers worked, danced, shared experiences, and collaborated closely.

Despite initial challenges with visas and travel permissions, all 12 dancers arrived in Ghent, where they worked with choreographers Ata Khattab & Amir Sabra. The residency concluded with an intimate presentation in the studio, attended by local choreographers, directors, and members of the hosting team.

In a heartfelt act of support and cultural exchange, more than 15 families in Ghent opened their homes to the dancers, helping to overcome funding challenges while fostering a deeper connection between Palestine and Belgium.
